2021 The Maceo Snipes Veteran's Day Awards

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we  only announced  our annual 2021 Veteran honorees.   When the health crises subsides, we look forward to presenting our 2021 awardees with  a luncheon program.

Mr. Johnny Miller serves as President of CUMC Veterans Ministry.  We thank the veterans committee for their beautiful program and their service to our country.  What was amazing to me, was that he is a native of Taylor County where Uncle Maceo voted on July 17, 1946

The Real Hero Report was a wonderful magazine that provided information to veterans and their families.  As you can tell by the cover of this issue, they covered  black military history.  We learned that the magazine is no longer in business .  We will miss their contributions to our veterans in the Atlanta area.  We thank the, Co-founders, Don Kyle and David Nastal, who is a Navy veteran, and The Real Hero Report  staff for the service they provided to our veterans.

We met new friends at the Cascade Veteran's event, David Nastal and Eden Nastal and wish them the best and hope they reach out to us.
